In 2022, VIRAN and NIOK launched the “Community of Interest” or “CoI”. It serves as an instrument to align and energize the Netherlands’ catalysis research. Another objective of the CoI is to reconnect the Dutch catalysis research community to the success, visibility and impact that it had in the first two decades of NIOK’s existence.

The CoI was officially launched on October 12, 2022, during a one-day kick-off workshop at Eindhoven University of Technology. This was preceded by an online roundtable discussion on April 6, 2022, where around 50 junior, mid-career and senior players from academia and industry reflected on the current status of the Netherlands catalysis R&D landscape. Also on May 10, 2022, during the N3C conference in Noordwijkerhout, a preliminary CoI session was organised on building engagement, how to bring people into contact and build bridges between academic and industrial researchers.

This page serves as an archive of all CoI sessions, linking to minutes of the meetings where appropriate. Announcements and notable results will be published in the News section of the VIRAN website. Are you interested in joining our Community of Interest? Please contact the VIRAN office!
