Dr. ir. Robbert de Graaf specialized in different aspects of chemistry and chemical engineering by designing, building and working within the chemical industry in the past 30 years. His heart is in Research and Development and in his present function within Avantium as Director Technology & Innovation all his expertise is coming together – developing and innovating catalytic processes and systems. Catalysis and polymer has always had his interest, both at the university while doing his PhD and in his industrial life. Catalysis is at the moment his most important focus, as Avantiums business unit Catalysis develops innovative chemistry technologies across industry value chains in order to produce chemicals and materials based on renewable feedstock instead of fossil resources. Avantium also provides advanced catalysis products and services to organizations that desire to gain efficiency in their processes.
