Dr. Mathieu Ahr is RD&I Specialist at Nobian.
Mathieu has graduated in chemistry at E.S.C.O.M. (FR; “Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Organique et Minérale”, a French higher education institution in chemistry and chemical engineering). He received his PhD degree in Organic and organometallic chemistry at the University of Cergy-Pontoise (FR) and then completed a 2-year post-doctoral research project at CPE Lyon (FR), in the laboratory then directed by Prof. J.-M. Basset.
He started his industrial career at AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals, as a researcher in the Research & Development group of the Organic peroxides business unit. Since 2016, he is an executive board member of ARC CBBC, the advanced research center focusing on chemical building blocks for a sustainable future. In 2019, a year after the Specialty Chemicals business area was separated from AkzoNobel and renamed to Nouryon, Mathieu joined the Nouryon Industrial Chemicals business unit which was renamed to Nobian in January 2021. In his current role, Mathieu leads and contributes to R&D projects by providing expertise in the areas of organic chemistry, catalysis, route scouting, evaluation and process development.
Mathieu represents Nobian as VIRAN Member.
